Our Story
Founder's Journey
At M.P. Foundation, our story is one of passion, purpose, and perseverance. It all began with a heartfelt desire to make a difference in the lives of children and communities, fueled by a profound belief in the transformative power of education.
Our founder, Asuttosh S. Rajkumar, embarked on a journey inspired by personal experiences and a deep sense of social responsibility. I’ve been fortunate to engage in meaningful service experiences, deeply impacting my perspective. One such instance was volunteering at the Hessed House in Aurora alongside my Grandmother in May 2016, followed by participation in a Civic Week Leadership program at Northwestern University in spring 2017.
During a visit to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, where I conversed with Dr. Danny Cohen, founder of the Unsilence Project, I gained profound insights into community service. Reflecting on these encounters with my mother, the founder of KLA Schools of Plainfield, Naperville and Naperville West, I realized the transformative power of education in addressing
societal issues, particularly homelessness.
This realization ignited a sense of purpose within me. Together with my mother, Selvei, we established this foundation, honoring the legacies of my great grandfathers, Muthusami Gounder and Paravel Gounder.
Driven by our shared vision, I am committed to supporting families, educators, and communities through informative webinars. Our aim is to enhance the capabilities of adults involved in nurturing and educating children, thereby making a tangible difference in generations to come.
